who is KIKI?
I'm not exactly good at introducing myself, so I usually just throw sentences everywhere until someone can get a general idea of me.
I'm the owner of Moonlit Blossom, otherwise addressed as the "webgirl" everywhere else. I like making layouts for my sites despite being super lazy with actually putting content on the pages; I'm romance-obsessed (only in fiction though, please); I listen to music every day for hours on end & while literally doing whatever, but I've never been able to pinpoint a single genre I like (I go from rock to edm to straight up utaite music...); I've got a love/hate relationship with school, cause my grades r top tier (lol) but sometimes it drains the living hell out of me... ++ I'm not popular so I'm usually addressed as lame (people r just mean, I'm aware); I luv my frens... :,) wah; my interests are probably the most defining part of me; I tend to be a daydreamer & a chronic overthinker, but I overall try to maintain a positive view in life.
Phew. That was a good paragraph I'd say. Exhaustive enough?
what is MOONLIT BLOSSOM?
To make it short, an absolute mess.
It all simply began as my poor attempts at fiddling with HTML - something I had never really had the chance to use before. I remember wanting to somehow "code", but I knew little to nothing about what that actually meant. Sure, front-end isn't nearly as complex as back-end, but I believe I've come a long way since the very first version of this site :)
and the layouts have become somewhat simpler, for everyone's eyes' sake...
As of today, Moonlit Blossom is one of my creative outlets. Despite my notable lack of updates from time to time (oops...), I still like to come back and tweak a thing or two. And when inspiration hits me well enough, I might as well craft a new layout!
...
Don't ask when it's being actually published, though.
As described in the previous version, Moonlit Blossom is the result of my mind. As simple as it can be. :P
webgirl's infamous stack of INTERESTS
MUSIC: let's just say my taste is a mess and very incoherent, and often I'm more of a "song" or "album" person rather than an "artist" person. Also, I often get VERY fixated on certain tracks and loop them for AGES. As a result, my last.fm stats are constantly fucked up.
Most of my current top artists were paying rent for my brain around 2022/2023 (that is also when I got the account and/or when I found them). re6ce and Friday Pilots Club still pay, though.
---Either way, I'm planning on making a dedicated music page where I can talk about albums. You know when your favs make new albums that you really don't dig? Or when you find a random album, completely unprompted, but you don't actively follow that artist/group and don't even intend to?
Yeah, same.
UTAITE: the other face of the coin of my music taste. Some of my favs: Element Sicks (absolute fav utaite group - fav member: Tsubasa + a soft spot for Take and JIL), BLACK FLAP (fav in the group: Neiro), Sena Kiryuin (my kami!!!), Suzusora Plus, Forte, Aoki Yo, Chrono Reverse, VOLTACTION (fav in the group: Hibari), USSS... and again, probably many more I'm currently forgetting.
Also, me and my friend are always on the hunt for newer groups, so I'll most likely come back to this section soon... :P
MOVIES: I don't really watch movies as a hobby or passtime, but I'd gladly rewatch the following: the whole To All The Boys trilogy (as cringe and cliche as it could get), The Intern, Pride and Prejudice 2005, The Art Of Racing in the Rain
ANIME: Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, Danmachi, Zero no Tsukaima, Ano Natsu de Matteru, Wistoria: Wand and Sword (leave me alone I need to catch up with S2), Link Click (I know it's a donghua don't kill me pls), Free! Iwatobi Swim Club (need to catch up with this one as well lol).
MANGA -> now has its own shiny brand new [page on Moonlit Blossom!!]
GAMES: I don't play much, either. A while ago I bought an R4 for my Nintendo DS Lite though, so I play something random, occasionally. Mainly: Style Savvy/Style Boutique (I have the og cartridge for this one tho) and TWEWY, which I need to complete still :P. On my Switch I've been recently playing Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream.
Also, dunno if it counts, but I like Minesweeper (lol)
Misc Stuff: my OCs (but i also love hearing other people's OC lore!!), keeping a journal/diary (I like writing about my day and adding doodles everywhere), HTML AND CSS OBV!!, making playlists even if the songs are always the same, pizza, kinder bueno + kinder bueno icecream flavor, BAGS I LITERALLY LOVE BAGS (especially handbags and I WISH I HAD A VINTAGE JUICY COUTURE BAG), heeled shoes and boots but specifically with squared heels, art, any shade of green, lipglosses/lip balms especially kiko 3d hydra glosses (I'd buy them all if i had the chance), old tech items like flip phones and digicams, Pinterest scrolling, Frutiger Metro, READING WEBCOMICS!!!!!

SITE HISTORY & past layouts
VERSION 1
started to be decent around september 2022
First ever layout. Didn't even know what I was doing but I was proud of it and, somehow, I still am. It's definitely very ugly for my current standards, but I did it entirely from scratch and this was my first practical approach to HTML... 13 y.o. me knew what was up.
Only 4 pages up (index, about, blogs and shrine), had the idea of doing 3 miniblogs for different topics but butchered it shortly after. That is still the cause of the ghost "blogs" page, though...
VERSION 2
october 2022 - early december 2022
I was really proud of this one as well. I made the layout prettier, recieved a lot of compliments for my site & also liked much more how everything was put together. Started adding more pages, added the blog and put a toggle hide/show in the blog/diary (useless Javascript slop that's gonna DIE shortly after. Bless)
VERSION 3
december 2022 - july 2023
Back then I liked the way stuff was put together, it felt different from my previous layouts... But the fixed elements were laggy and made the website even worse to access from mobile + the site didn't recieve any updates due to school. Honestly this is, by far, my worst layout (lol). Also the last time you'll see autoplay music, a yellow background and Comic Sans MS on Moonlit Blossom... Old traditions that I'm glad I got rid of THANKS GOD
VERSION 4
august 2023 - april 2025
This version took me AGES to get done but it was worth it. It really was like a breath of fresh air. Background became purple and the font changed to ms ui gothic. On the downside, V4 came with a huge burnout, so I kept making wips that never ended up being finished and published, oops! (I'll add: most of them even got lost. I had everything recklessly stored on the localhost folder, but when my PC had an OS failure I brought it to the techs and they got rid of it... lol)
-> Subversions (minor changes to general layout)
VERSION 4.2
late june 2024 - april 2025
Index and a few other pages were aligned left, font got changed to Trebuchet, new banner and colors, also new blog layout that was published before the change of the index
VERSION 5
april 2025 - september 2026
Got rid of the thistle/purple as well & experimented a bit more with stuff. The background isn't some random tiled one but I made it myself. Features a character and a song now, just like Lunarella! Mizi from ALNST and Talk by beabadoobee :) and this is also the first ever version of Moonlit Blossom to appear exclusively on Lunarella (v4.2 was still on Neocities when I uploaded it, so it was half-n-half)
-> Subversions (minor changes to general layout)
VERSION 5.2
late september 2025 - early september 2026
The layout is the exact same, but I changed the color scheme. I've also changed the background image, which is similar to the previous one in terms of decor and positioning of the elements, but with new pics! Now it features Mizi (and Sua!) from the 3rd ALNST Anniversary sports thingies. Fun fact: the background color is the same as MB V4.2!
The only downside here was HOW LONG I've kept this layout up, to the point I rushed to upload v6 as soon as I was finally done. The school year that started right after its creation, however, wasn't easy at all, so it explains why...
VERSION 6 - CURRENT
since september 2026
I actually started crafting this in April 2026, but then school killed me and I stopped working on it. Changed the layout, color scheme and the subject of the layout. Then, I changed the color scheme and subject again. And then, after several burnouts AGAIN, I resorted to a completely different layout! With a completely different color scheme from the two previously scrapped ones, and no character.
If my previous attempts were published, we would've had v6 and v6.2, and this would be v7. Too bad they didn't resonate with me in the long run ┐(´~`ˇ)┌
